Stains and spills can ruin your carpet if it isn't cleaned up the correct way. It may sound strange but cleaning up a stain can actually damage the fibers of your carpeting if it isn't handled with care. Here are a few helpful tips on cleaning up those tough carpet stains ...But before you begin, here is what you'll need:
-A white cloth.
-Ammonia - One table spoon of ammonia and 1 cup of warm water.
-Detergent - One teaspoon of a detergent (mild) and pint of lukewarm water.
-Vinegar Solution - One teaspoon of vinegar (white).

Gum Stains - Use a knife to scrape up. Use dry cleaning liquid and then apply with vinegar or detergent. Blot to dry.
Coffee Stains- Blot up the coffee. Use vinegar or detergent. Start on the outside of the stain and work towards the stain. Blot dry with a white cloth.
Wine or Alcohol Spills- Blot it up with a cloth and then use vinegar or a mild solution. Start on the outside of the stain and work towards the stain. Blot dry with a white cloth.
Blood Stains - Use a knife to scrape up. Then use a detergent solution. T Start on the outside of the stain and work towards the stain with a blotting motion.
Chocolate Stains - Use a knife to scrape up. Then blot dry. Follow by with Ammonia and blot dry again.
Eggs Stains - Use a knife to scrape up. Use a mild detergent, begin at the outer section and blot dry. Then follow with Ammonia and blot dry.
Ice-cream Stains - Use a knife to scrape up. Use a mild detergent. Begin at the outer section of the stain and work your way in and blot dry. Follow by with Ammonia and blot dry.
Lipstick Stains - Scrape with a knife and use a dry cleaning solution. Then follow by with vinegar or detergent and blot dry.
Liquid & Food Stains - Blot up the liquid. Use vinegar/detergent to blot. Start on the outside of the stain and work towards the stain. Blot dry with a white cloth.
Milk Stains Stains - Blot up the spill. Use detergent and start at the outer section of the stain and work your way in and blot dry. Follow with Ammonia and blot dry.
Nail Polish Stains - Use a knife to scrape up. Use a dry cleaning solution followed by vinegar/detergent and blot dry.
Oil Stains - Use a knife to scrape up. Use a dry cleaning solution followed by vinegar/detergent and blot dry.
Fats Stains - Scrape up with a knife and use a dry cleaning solvent. Then blot dry
Fruits Stains - Use a knife to scrape up. Use a detergent and start cleaning on the outer section and blot dry. Follow with Ammonia and blot dry.
Glue Stains - Use a knife to scrape up. Use a detergent solution, begin at the outer section and work your way in to the stain and blot dry. Follow with Ammonia and blot dry.
